Secretary General Jon Li Met with Polish Ambassador to China Tadeusz Chomicki

On the afternoon of July 2nd, 2014, Secretary General Jon Li met with Tadeusz Chomicki, the Polish Ambassador to China at the Embassy of Poland in Beijing. The two of them exchanged ideas on the current global economic situation and the response to climate change. They also shared opinions on possible cooperation in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection.

Secretary General Jon Li briefed Ambassador Tadeusz Chomicki on the ecological and scientific agricultural projects, biomass energy projects as well as the carbon neutral and sequestration projects led by IEEPA. He also invited the Ambassador, at his convenience, to visit the project base in person and to see in his own eyes the social value of these projects.

Ambassador Tadeusz Chomicki expressed his welcome to Secretary General Jon Lií»s visit. He talked about the achievements of Poland in the field of energy conservation and environmental protection in recent years including reducing CO2 emission while maintaining economic development. According to him, Polandí»s economy is developing at a very rapid speed compared with other EU member states. While developing the economy, the Polish government also attaches great importance to energy conservation and environmental protection. He hoped that under Secretary General Jon Lií»s leadership, the two sides can launch further cooperation and to promote the development and implementation of advanced technologies and projects.
