WSPA and CAPIAC Paid a Visit to Our Association

On November 6, 2013, secretary-general Jon Li met with Zhang Zhonghua, chief representative of World Society for the Protection of Animals (WFPA) in China and Xi Chunling, executive chairman of China Association for The Promtion of International Agricultural Cooperation (CAPIAC) in his office. Both sides share each other's views on the preparatory work of the forthcoming 6th World Economic and Environmental Conference (the 6th WEC) and future cooperation field.

Firstly, Mr. Zhao and Ms. Xi introduced their respective development situation and project, as well as preparatory work of the subforum of the 6th WEC co-organized by WFPA and CAPIAC.

Jon Li expressed his support to the forum, and gave some advices on the attendees, media propaganda and organizational form, and hope this forum may draw the attention of all social walks of life on animal welfare, environmental protection, economy sustainable development.

Visiting guests also discussed the future cooperation, hoped to carry out more project and special topic cooperation in the future, jointly integrated domestic and overseas resource, promote energy conservation and environmental protection undertakings.

Headquartered in London, WSPA has come into existence as early as 50 years ago, and is a combination of World Federation of Protection of Animal in 1953 and The World Conservation Union in 1981. It has prompted EU parliament to pass a series of wildlife protection laws and regulations, and has 16 offices all over the world, and has over 440 animal protection experts in 101 states. With overall UN consultative position, WSPA is dedicated to boosting world animal protection.
